Did you know that camper vans are welcome to stop overnight in our car park? Our site is at the very centre of Coalbrookdale, adjacent to a number of the Ironbridge Gorge museums and other historical sites.
The main Severn riverfront and centre of Ironbridge is a short walk away, where you’ll find a supermarket, cashpoints, friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants and a great selection of independent shops. Our site is an excellent base for a variety of walks and cycle routes in to the wider area.
Please read the following guidelines:
We have space for a maximum of TWO camper vans at any one
time, please park considerately. The centre is well used and at
times the car park is busy with users of the centre, local residents
and other visitors.
No fires or BBQs to be lit on the site.
Please dispose of rubbish appropriately.
You are welcome to use the centre’s outside water tap.
Please be aware that parties and other events often take place at
the Community Centre, particularly at weekends. These can run
late in to the evening.
The nearest pub is the Coalbrookdale Inn, which serves food. You
can find this a short walk down the road, between the traffic lights.
Food is also available from The Furnace Kitchen adjacent to the
Museum of Iron.
The nearest toilets can be found at the Coalbrookdale Inn and
adjacent to the Museum of Iron and close to Enginuity, the Darby
Houses and the Old Furnace.
Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge Community Centre is operated as a charity for the benefit of the local community. The management committee therefore ask visitors making use of our site for camper parking to support us by making a donation. Donations can be made via the QR code displayed on site or by using the cash box attached to the building.
